License to Wed

December 2nd, 2009

BellBible_MarriageLicenseWell, today is the day we  head over to the good old Teaneck municipal building to get our marriage license!  In New Jersey, you have to be licensed in the place where you live, and both applicants must come in together with only one witness who knows both applicants.  You also need a social security card, birth certificate, AND you have to make an appointment with the one person who makes them.  Oh and they are closed Friday.  Our NJ taxpayer dollars at work.

So we’re off to go jump through all these silly hoops, so that we can get our marriage license!  Another big step in the process is about to be done!

Wow, that’s annoying! Tom and I went the morning of our wedding and only needed 2 forms ID (no witnesses until the ceremony). Good Luck! I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying reading your blog, and even though I am married, It kinda makes me want to do it all again!
